PLASTIC MONSTERS pre-order is now available
In my previous newsletter, I revealed the cover of my upcoming novella, PLASTIC MONSTERS (cover art by Don Noble). Oh boy, did I get a lot of comments on that one. So far, the cover is a hit with fans and authors alike. I love it and think Don absolutely killed it. But now, we’re inching closer to the release date (JULY 14th). For those of you like me, you need to get that book pre-ordered asap. You want the assurance that it’ll be delivered to you and you can start devouring the nastiness immediately. Well, it is live and set at a special pre-order price of only $2.99. On the release date, JULY 14th, it will go up to the normal retail price, so grab it now.

This book is special to me for many reasons, but one of the biggest is the cover blurb (front and back). Brian Keene, horror legend and damn nice guy, was gracious enough to spare time from his busy schedule to read my work. Not only that, but he provided me with one of the best blurbs I could’ve asked for. I am deeply appreciative of him and the horror community in general.
Halfway Home
Well, June is wrapping up. The halfway point in another year, another journey around the burning ball of gas that sustains our lives. At the beginning of the year, I joined Armand Rosamilia, Chuck Buda, and numerous other authors by declaring my writing goals. Well, here’s my halfway point so far:
January 2022-June 2022
-1 novella published (ONLY PSYCHOS, published by D&T publishing) and 1 coming in July (PLASTIC MONSTERS). I also wrote a short story collection alongside Patrick C. Harrison III (VISCERAL 2: FILLETED FLESH ,published by Death's Head Press)
-112789 words written (1 novella, which is a sequel to another book, 3 chapbooks, a partial novella sequel, and numerous short stories)
-I have upped my marketing game and have spent $782 so far on ads. I'm still trying to perfect the method, but I'm getting there.
-I said I wanted to focus less on short stories, but the market is begging for them, so I provided. I have turned down a lot more than I've accepted, so that's a start.
-I have been accurately keeping records of my spending with Google sheets and have opened a separate account for all of my writing transactions. I've also consulted with an attorney and an accountant for financial advice.
-I did a collab with PC3, but it was a short story collection. But I do have 2 collaborations scheduled with Aron Beauregard for the second half of the year and another secret one through Crystal Lake.
-I attended the STC Authorcon, where I met the legendary, Jay Wilburn. I'm still swooning. That convention was such a success, I've already secured my spot for 2023.
