A Story of Sorrow Book : 2 The Unburied
***E-Book pre-order is live** Click HERE to order
Monsters and murders: two staples in any fantasy story. Whether it’s a shrouded assassin, with a mysterious past, like The Faceless Man in ASOIAF, or an assassin with a series like Artemis in The Sell Swords, we love a good/bad killer. And monsters? Forget about it. With the success of The Witcher TV show, books, and games, monsters are here to stay.
I wanted to put those staples to good use for the second installment in my Sorrow series. Book 2 covers both of those, spanning seas, and nations, which run red with blood. Check out the awesome cover (by Luke Spooner) and wrap (by Don Noble) below.
Unburied and hungry!
After narrowly escaping persecution by the Church, Sorrow and his men flee to a new city. Landing in Ayr, they quickly find themselves in trouble, thanks to one crew member's lust for murder.
Another lucrative offer gives Sorrow an escape before the city guard can round them all up. A brutal conflict has the mercenaries of the world scrambling towards a mountain range aptly named the Borderlands.
And with war comes spoils and plenty of it. But, in those craggy hills, something else lurks, craving death. Something that was unburied and has a taste for human flesh.
Will Sorrow and his men strike it rich, or barely escape with their heads?

Writing updates
I know my word counts have been low over the past few months. Part of this is by design, and some is by necessity. No, I haven’t run out of ideas. If anything, they don’t stop pouring into my brain…at all hours of the day and night. Rest assured, I have plenty of filth coming in the next year or so. So WTF have I been doing, if not writing? Editing. I’ve been editing like a madman, whether it was the series you see above (did I mention they were available now?), the new installment of The Obituaries or maybe some new stuff ;). I’ve been hard at work making sure your TBR never shrinks. It’s been a great first half of the year and I know the second half is going to be insane. Readers should expect to see the continuation of the Sorrow series, a few collaborations, and possibly a 5th issue of The Obituaries. 2024 is already shaping up to be my biggest year yet, with a few sequels (Talia 3?…maybe), a short story collection or two, and one of my most creative endeavors yet.
The Obituaries issue 4: SUMMER OF BLOOD featuring Edward Lee
When Aron, Kris, and I started The Obituaries, it was designed to be a passion project. We didn’t know if it would fall flat on its face, or flourish. Well, thanks to all of you, this project has taken off like crazy. From the insane artwork to the unrestricted stories, to the disturbing obituaries, this series has taken on a life of its own. Issue 4 is our largest yet, not only in sheer size but in ambition. This time around we were able to enlist the talent of a hardcore legend: Edward Lee. I can tell you this, his story is vintage Lee, full of nasty shit that we’ve come to love. There are still a few copies available for pre-order if you click HERE . This is your chance to get a quadruple signed book, featuring that coveted Lee signature as well.

Looking forward to seeing what's coming.... still silently waiting for Awakened in Blood's sequel ;-)
Received my copy of the first Sorrow book from you this week, pretty much devoured it, a lot of fun and gore. Looking forward to book two.
